Pilot in Command – Lear 60
Full-Time – Scottsdale, AZ
Jet Linx is seeking highly qualified and experienced Pilot in Command candidates for our Midsize jet aircraft fleet, specifically operating the Lear 60. This full-time position is based in Scottsdale, Arizona, supporting both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. The successful candidate is expected to currently reside or be willing to relocate within a two-hour call-out radius of the Scottsdale home base to ensure operational readiness.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, the Pilot in Command (PIC) assumes responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft. The PIC is tasked with meticulous flight preparation and execution, ensuring all operations adhere strictly to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company standard operating procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Prospective candidates must meet the following minimum flight hour requirements:
- Total Time: 3500 hours
- Total PIC: 2000 hours
- Total Time in Type (Lear 60): 250 hours
- Total PIC Time in Type (Lear 60): 250 hours
- Total Multi-Engine: 1500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine PIC: 500 hours
- Total Turbine: 500 hours
- Total Instrument: 300 hours
Essential Functions
The core responsibilities of the Pilot in Command include:
- Diligently managing duty, flight, and rest periods in accordance with both company policy and Federal Aviation Regulations (CFRs).
- Maintaining proactive communication with the company dispatch and operations team regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position reports, and required pre- and post-flight documentation.
- Effectively managing and maintaining Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and applications necessary for flight operations.
- Ensuring the currency and accessibility of all required navigation charts, publications, and company manuals.
- Maintaining a current First Class medical certificate at all times.
- Consistently demonstrating strong, proactive, and sound decision-making skills under various operational conditions.
- Embodying and demonstrating Jet Linx’s core values in all professional interactions and operational duties.
Other Requirements
In addition to the minimum flight hours, candidates should fulfill the following requirements:
- Initial or Recurrent Part 142 training in type (Lear 60) completed within the last 24 months is strongly preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license.
- Must provide verifiable proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Must possess a current and valid passport with the unrestricted ability to travel internationally to destinations including Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Must hold a valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate or demonstrate the ability to obtain one.
- Must hold a valid FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with required random drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to authorize and pass a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Pilot Record Database review conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as operational demands require.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience is required.
- The position primarily involves working within and around aircraft and aircraft terminal environments.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis is necessary.
