Job Overview
Jet Aviation is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated G550 Captain to join its esteemed team. This pivotal role involves ensuring the highest standards of flight safety, operational excellence, and professional client service. The Captain will support all aircraft operations and report directly to the Director of Flight Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of all crew members, passengers, and cargo.
- Adhere strictly to operational procedures and checklists as outlined in the Operations Manual (FOM).
- Confirm crew readiness and proper station occupancy during critical flight phases (take-off, initial climb, final approach, landing).
- Prohibit non-essential crew activities during critical flight phases.
- Safeguard flight data and cockpit voice recorder data integrity, preserving it for incident investigations.
- Optimize flight crew coordination for superior airmanship.
- Maintain precise navigation and adhere to minimum altitude regulations.
- Ensure proper handling and operation of the aircraft within its system limitations.
- Enforce the rigorous use of checklists.
- Verify sufficient fuel for safe onward travel to an airport with final reserve fuel remaining.
- Collaborate closely with cabin crew to uphold cabin safety standards.
- Ensure accurate completion of flight and technical logs.
- File necessary written occurrence and accident reports.
- Maintain current knowledge of aviation regulations, company operations manuals, and best practices.
- Uphold a high standard of discipline, conduct, and appearance as a company representative.
- Comply with all regulations stipulated in the Operations Manual (FOM) and Air Navigation Order (ANO).
- Brief passengers on emergency exits and safety equipment usage.
- Represent Jet Aviation professionally to internal and external stakeholders, including industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with G550 type rating (FAA or EASA).
- Over 500 hours of flight experience on the G550 type.
- Experience in AOC (Air Operator Certificate) operations.
- Excellent communication skills.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
This role requires the ability to work effectively in both heavy maintenance environments and upscale customer service areas. The work environment can involve moderate to high noise levels, especially during aircraft arrivals and departures, and frequent exposure to vibration. Occasional exposure to fuel fumes is possible. Candidates must be willing and able to work in diverse weather conditions, including potentially extreme temperatures in hangar environments during different seasons.
