Chief Pilot

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
On behalf of our client, we are in search of a Chief Pilot. The Chief Pilot is responsible for the management of all 121 pilot operations within the company, including oversight of hiring, training, and assignments of company pilots. The Chief Pilot will ensure that all pilots are trained and operating in accordance with the FAA-approved training program and Company Policies for both our Boeing 757 fleet and our Dash 8 fleet. Other duties include, but are not limited to:
+ Promoting a positive safety culture with co-workers, following accident prevention procedures, and supporting the organization in compliance with Safety Management System (SMS).
+ Acting with integrity when assisting with pilot pay tasks, Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) program management, and pilot records management, ensuring accurate information, actioned quickly, and communicating with the pilot group.
+ Embracing connectedness while conducting classroom instruction thoroughly and professionally, ensuring attendees are prepared with the knowledge and skills necessary for safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
+ Illustrating reliability when maintaining all duties and requirements as a flight crew member while demonstrating proficiency and capability as Chief Pilot.
+ Demonstrating commitment when assisting with efforts and activities associated with new hire recruiting and selection, seeking out strong candidates to grow and thrive within the Company.
+ Encouraging connectedness when providing leadership to those operating different aircraft, those in training, and prospective pilots within the community specifically thorough recruitment initiatives.
+ Commitment to continually implement broad-based solutions for issues affecting overall operational readiness and regulatory compliance consistent with industry trends and Company Mission Statement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills, strong administrative capabilities, and the ability to communicate effectively across multiple platforms. Other qualifications include:
+ Must possess High School Diploma/GED, with a preference for a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
+ Must meet minimum regulatory-based qualifications for the position as described in 14 CFR 119.67(b), or as otherwise accepted by the FAA Administrator.
+ Must have proficiency in Word, Access, Excel, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office applications.
+ Must have strong working knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations and company policies and procedures and the ability to stay up to date with them.
+ Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, and be able to communicate effectively with senior management, other internal staff, and external professional contacts.
+ Must be analytical, highly organized, and detail oriented.
+ Must have effective interpersonal skills when interacting with all levels of the organization.
+ Must have a safety-first ability to lead flight teams and operations.
+ Must be able to deal with adversity and confrontations.
+ Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screen.
+ Must be comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.
