Job Description:

Idaho Power — located in vibrant Boise, Idaho — is looking for a Corporate Pilot to join our team. Pilots are responsible for serving as Co-Captain of a company-owned jet aircraft (Cessna Citation II). In absence of Chief Pilot, acts in the capacity of Pilot-in-Command with a contract co-pilot.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Knowledge of:

  • Federal Aviation Regulations and Instrument Flight Rules

Skills in:

  • Basic PC operation

Ability to:

  • Adhere strictly to all safe operating procedures
  • Utilize good judgment in interpersonal business associations
  • Work compatibly with Chief Pilot and contract pilots
  • Forego outside interests or work which would interfere with availability for flight assignments
  • Maintain (by study and practice) a high degree of aeronautical skill and knowledge
  • Take over full control of the aircraft while airborne.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

  • A minimum of 100 hours of flight time in the previous 12 months
  • Total Flight Time (2000 hours)
  • 250 hours of Pilot in Command (PIC)
  • Total Multi-Engine (1000 hours)
  • Instrument Time (75 hours)
  • Cross Country Time (500 hours minimum)
  • Turbine (1000 hours minimum)
  • All flight time must be logged in accordance with applicable FAA regulations (FAR parts 1, 61, 91)
  • No F.A.R. violation convictions
  • Verifiable (by logbook examination) backcountry experience
  • Minimum 25 landings on unimproved (Not paved) airports.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Commercial Pilot Certificate with Airplane Multi-Engine Land and Instrument Ratings
    • Preferred: Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with Airplane Multi-Engine Land Rating
  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate or ability to obtain within six months of hire
  • Jet type rating preferred
  • Current First- or Second-Class Medical Certificate
  • Valid U.S. Passport or ability to acquire within 90 days of hire
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record based on driving requirements for the position

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Job requires the person to occasionally bend, stoop and squat, crouch, ascend/descend stairs, twist, kneel, balance and reach. Occasionally lift knee-high, waist-high, and above shoulder items weighing up to 50 lbs; rarely up to 75 lbs; occasionally reach out and overhead to load cargo onto and into plane; sit for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally carry items weighing up to 50 lbs., and rarely up to 75 lbs., with one or both hands. Must undergo an annual physical examination by an FAA medical examiner and maintain a current Second-Class medical examination certificate administered by an FAA medical examiner. Applicant must be able to perform the essential functions of the job without posing a direct threat of harm to self, others, or property. The above is a summary of the primary essential functions of the position. This job may require the performance of additional tasks assigned by company leaders or management. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to work any day of the week and stand on call in case of emergency. Frequent overnight travel. If a pilot accepts duties other than his/her primary aviation related work, it will be clearly understood that these responsibilities must in no way interfere with maintaining his/her competency or availability as a professional pilot. Must possess proper certifications and authorization prior to assignment as Captain/Pilot-in-Command of a flight.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Acts in the capacity of Pilot-in-Command in the absence of the Chief Pilot, making all decisions as required.
Support Chief Pilot in account reconciliation and reporting as required
