Horizon Air is seeking dedicated individuals to join its team as Flight Attendants. This role offers a dynamic and challenging career involving regional travel across the West. Flight Attendants are integral to creating signature inflight experiences while upholding safety as the paramount priority. As the primary representative of Horizon Air, representing Alaska Airlines, the Flight Attendant acts as an authentic and gracious host. The role demands in-depth knowledge of inflight service procedures and the proficiency to execute safety protocols during flights. A strong desire to maintain a positive, approachable demeanor towards both guests and colleagues is essential for fostering an airline environment that people value. This position is represented by a union.
Candidates will be required to complete an audio assessment, approximately 40 minutes in duration, as part of the application process.
Training Requirement: Mandatory paid training will be conducted in Portland, OR, and consists of four weeks.
Tattoo Policy: No visible tattoos are permitted on the face, front of the neck, or chest. One tattoo the size of a quarter or smaller is allowed per hand. Tattoos in other areas must not exceed the size of a credit card and must not be offensive. Employees may have one tattoo per arm, leg, foot, back of neck, and behind each ear. Tattoos on the back of the neck and behind the ears are permitted only if they are not visible when viewed directly. Tattoos may only be covered by a uniform piece or approved jewelry/watch; covering with makeup is not permitted.
Employment in this role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge provided by the airport authority. Failure to qualify for or loss of a SIDA badge will result in termination of employment.

Starting Rate: USD $20.66/Hr (First year step rate, per contract).
Salary and pay steps are governed by the collective bargaining agreement between Horizon Air and the AFA.
