Flight Attendant
Horizon Air is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Flight Attendant to join its team. As the face of Horizon Air, representing Alaska Airlines, the Flight Attendant delivers exceptional service and ensures passenger safety and comfort on regional flights throughout the West. Key Responsibilities:
- Adheres to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Verifies the operational readiness of all safety equipment onboard the aircraft.
- Greets passengers, assists with seating, and ensures the safe stowage of carry-on baggage.
- Provides clear explanations and demonstrations of safety equipment and emergency procedures.
- Prepares and serves meals and beverages, including alcoholic beverages, with attentiveness and care.
- Effectively markets onboard products, including meals and inflight entertainment, and processes sales transactions.
- Responds calmly and effectively to passenger situations, including medical emergencies.
- Provides accurate and helpful answers to passenger inquiries regarding flight operations and destination information.
- Performs other duties as assigned to ensure smooth and efficient flight operations.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of customer or community service experience is required.
- Uncompromising dedication to safety is essential.
- Must meet specific aircraft body size requirements to safely perform duties.
- Must adhere to the company's grooming, uniform, and appearance standards.
- Must demonstrate the physical ability to perform the duties of a flight attendant.
- Willingness to relocate to any of Horizon Air's Flight Attendant bases: Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Medford, OR; Boise, ID; Spokane, WA; Anchorage, AK; Everett, WA.
- Willingness to serve alcohol is required.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with technology are necessary.
- Must be flexible to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively is required.
- Must possess adaptability to perform a variety of duties effectively under stress.
- Able to attend four weeks of paid training in Portland, OR.
- Must possess and/or obtain a current passport with unrestricted access in and out of the United States. Employees with non-U.S. passports will also need any appropriate travel documentation. Must be able to fly unrestricted in and out of Canada.
- Must possess the ability to communicate fluently in English.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Additional Information:
- Training will be held in Portland, OR, and consists of four weeks of paid training.
- Starting Rate: USD $20.66/Hr (per contract).
