Position Summary
The First Officer, also known as Second in Command (SIC), is an integral member of the flight crew, entrusted with ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all flights. This pivotal role involves direct participation in flight operations, strict adherence to all aviation regulations, and meticulous attention to detail across all phases of flight, from pre-flight preparation to post-flight duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Operates as Second in Command (SIC) for the safe and efficient transport of passengers, mail, freight, and other commercial cargo.
- Manages all phases of flight operations, encompassing meticulous pre-flight preparation, adherence to flight restrictions, execution of safe in-flight procedures, and comprehensive post-flight duties.
- Ensures unwavering compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations (FAA), established Company Flight Procedures, and Company Policies across all scheduled flights and routes to uphold the highest standards of aviation safety.
Minimum Qualifications
- Possesses a minimum of 200 hours of FAA-approved Prior Qualifying Time (PQT) for Pilot in Command (PIC) duties in Part 121 operations, compliant with FAR § 121.436(a)(3).
- Alternatively, holds a minimum of 200 hours as Second in Command (SIC) at a Part 121 air carrier, also compliant with FAR § 121.436(a)(3).
- Demonstrates verifiable proof of all flight time, which will be authenticated via pilot logbooks by the System Chief Pilot or Director of Operations during the interview process.
