First Officer / Second in Command (Part 121 Operations)
Position Summary
The First Officer (Second in Command) is a pivotal member of the flight crew, instrumental in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient flight operations. This role involves the professional transport of passengers, mail, freight, and other commercial payloads, upholding the highest standards of aviation safety and regulatory adherence within Part 121 operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operates effectively as Second in Command, contributing to all phases of flight for the commercial transport of passengers, mail, freight, or other commercial purposes.
- Assumes comprehensive responsibility for all aspects and conduct of assigned flights, encompassing meticulous pre-flight preparation, including verification of required documentation and adherence to restrictions, ensuring the safe execution of flight, and diligently completing all post-flight duties.
- Adheres rigorously to all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Company Flight Procedures, and Company Policies across all scheduled flights and routes, prioritising and ensuring the utmost safety of flight operations.
Required Qualifications
- Possesses 200 hours of FAA-approved Prior Qualifying Time, specifically meeting the requirements to serve as Pilot in Command in Part 121 operations, as per FAR § 121.436(a)(3).
- Alternatively: Holds 200 hours of verifiable flight experience as Second in Command at a Part 121 carrier, consistent with FAR § 121.436(a)(3).
- Candidates are required to furnish verifiable proof of all obtained flight time requirements. All prior qualifying time will be meticulously verified in pilot logbooks by the System Chief Pilot and/or the Director of Operations during the interview process.
