Senior Aircraft Captain
Aviation professionals are invited to apply for the position of Senior Aircraft Captain. The Senior Captain will be accountable for the safe, secure, and efficient operation and management of the corporate aircraft. Possessing extensive industry experience and deep insight into corporate aviation operations, the successful candidate will be a key contributor to the overall performance and safety standards of the flight department.
As the authoritative figure on the flight deck, the Senior Captain makes critical decisions under complex conditions, ensuring the highest safety and operational standards are maintained at all times. The role includes mentoring, operational oversight, and participation in strategic decision-making, which are crucial to the success of the flight department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide flight operations by directing and mentoring Second-in-Command (SIC) pilots, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of roles and responsibilities.
- Mentor less experienced pilots, sharing expertise in operational procedures and best practices to foster their professional development.
- Provide guidance and facilitate informed decision-making during complex or non-standard situations to enhance crew safety and operational efficiency.
- Lead by example, maintaining the highest levels of professionalism in all interactions with passengers, crew, and ground staff.
- Actively participate in shaping operational strategy and decision-making processes within the flight department.
- Play an active role in pilot training programs, including recurrent training, simulator sessions, and check rides.
- Share knowledge gained from thousands of flight hours and years of experience, contributing to the development of a professional flight crew.
- Assist the flight department in quality assurance activities, such as safety audits, incident reviews, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Represent the flight department during interactions with regulatory authorities, industry groups, and media, regarding aviation matters.
- Engage with key stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships and uphold the department’s reputation.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4,000 flight hours with 12 years of professional aviation experience.
- Experience flying four different types of aircraft in a professional capacity, with a focus on international operations.
- Hold a valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- Minimum of 2,000 hours of total flight experience.
- A minimum of 1,000 flight hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time in turbine-powered aircraft.
- Possess a valid FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Ability to speak and understand the English Language to the proficiency level required by ICAO Annex 1.
- Ability to pass a company pre-employment drug screen.
- Ability to pass a background investigation conducted by Honeywell’s Security Department.
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of aviation regulations and safety procedures.
- Possess excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
