Essential Qualifications for Aspiring Aviation Professionals
This section details the fundamental prerequisites for consideration for an aviation pilot role. Prospective candidates are expected to possess a robust background and meet specific regulatory and experiential benchmarks to ensure operational excellence and safety standards.
License and Medical Certification
- EASA ATPL(A) License: A valid Airline Transport Pilot License (Aeroplane) issued by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency is mandatory.
- EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate: An up-to-date Class 1 medical certificate, in accordance with EASA regulations, is required.
Flight Experience
- Minimum Flight Hours: A minimum of 3,500 flight hours is required on FAR/CS 25 aircraft during Multi-Pilot (MPA) operations.
- PIC Experience: Of the total flight hours, at least 1,000 hours must have been accumulated as Pilot in Command (PIC).
Language Proficiency
- English: Proficiency in the English language is essential, with a minimum ICAO Level 4 or higher certification.
- German: Fluent language skills in German are a key requirement.
Age and Citizenship
- Age Range: Candidates must be a minimum of 25 years of age and not exceed 62 years of age.
- Passport and Citizenship: A valid passport is necessary. Applicants must hold either Swiss (CH) or EU-25/EFTA citizenship without any travel or work restrictions.
