Join Our 'Ohana
Hawaiian Airlines is seeking dedicated individuals with a passion for service and fluency in Korean to join our 'ohana as Korean Language Qualified Flight Attendants. A recruitment event will be held in mid-August 2024 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Selected candidates will receive specific dates and times for interviews. Please note that all dates and times are subject to change due to operational requirements.
Position Summary
As a Hawaiian Airlines Flight Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and comfort of our guests while embodying the warmth and hospitality of the Hawaiian culture.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will encompass two primary areas:
Safety:
- Attending pre-flight briefings covering weather conditions, flight routes, emergency procedures, crew coordination, flight duration, food and beverage services, and passenger counts.
- Demonstrating the use of safety equipment, including seat belts, oxygen masks, and life jackets, and explaining emergency procedures to guests before takeoff.
- Enforcing safety regulations and addressing any safety infractions with professionalism and tact.
- Directing and assisting guests during emergency situations, including aircraft evacuation following an emergency landing.
- Maintaining proficiency in emergency procedures in accordance with Hawaiian Airlines and FAA regulations.
Guest Service:
- Providing exceptional customer service by warmly greeting guests, assisting with baggage, and responding to inquiries with Aloha spirit.
- Creating a welcoming and enjoyable in-flight experience by offering food and beverage service according to established procedures.
- Effectively and professionally diffusing and resolving challenging guest situations.
- Collaborating with fellow crew members to deliver an unforgettable Aloha experience.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age at the time of application.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Professional image in accordance with Hawaiian Airlines' uniform and appearance guidelines.
- Excellent customer service skills and experience in diffusing and resolving challenging customer situations.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Advanced/business level fluency in Korean and the ability to read Korean characters (Hangul).
- Successful completion of an FAA-approved, unpaid eight-week intensive training program provided by Hawaiian Airlines.
- Flexibility to relocate within the state of Hawaii or the continental U.S.
- Availability to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing for extended periods, lifting and maneuvering cabin equipment, and performing emergency procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of direct customer experience in the hospitality or airline industry, OR four years of experience in customer service and issue resolution in industries such as retail, education, healthcare, or professional services.
- College education or degree.
