About the Role
Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines are seeking a dedicated First Officer to join their esteemed flight crews. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Second in Command, ensuring the safe and efficient transport of passengers, mail, and freight for commercial purposes.
- Adhere strictly to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), company flight procedures, and company policies to guarantee flight safety.
- Conduct all business operations with unwavering professionalism and a commendable demeanor.
- Operate company aircraft in full compliance with established Qualification Standards and all Flight Manual operating procedures.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with all required agencies and personnel, following established Company Communication Practices.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge commensurate with an Airline Transport Pilot certificate, including all applicable FARs and the Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM).
Qualifications & Requirements
Alaska Airlines Seniority List Requirements:
Required:
- A minimum of 1,500 hours of total documented flight time.
- A current First Class FAA Medical Certificate.
- A minimum of 500 hours of fixed-wing turbine time (airplane and powered lift combined).
- Possession of a current U.S. passport with unlimited domestic and international travel access, retaining at least six months of validity upon employment. Employees with non-U.S. passports must possess appropriate travel documentation.
- Ability to travel immediately and repeatedly to any domestic or international location served by Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines.
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with an Instrument-Airplane rating.
- Fulfillment of all aeronautical experience requirements for an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with an Airplane category rating, as stipulated in 14 CFR §61.159.
- A current ATP written exam.
- Strong proficiency in written and verbal English communication.
- A valid Driver's License issued by a U.S. state or territory.
- Comfort with a domicile in Seattle, WA; Los Angeles, CA; Anchorage, AK; Portland, OR; or San Francisco, CA.
- Demonstrated excellent judgment, leadership capabilities, commandability, and maturity.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
- Capacity to maintain composure under pressure.
- Minimum age of 23 years.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
- A four-year degree from an accredited university.
- An FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- 500 hours of multi-engine airplane time.
- A minimum of 50 hours of flight time within the preceding 12 months.
- 500 hours of turbine Pilot-In-Command (PIC) time.
- Experience with turbojet/turboprop aircraft in complex operational environments.
Hawaiian Airlines Seniority List Requirements:
Required:
- A minimum of 1,500 hours of total documented flight time.
- A current First Class FAA Medical Certificate.
- A minimum of 500 hours of fixed-wing turbine time (airplane and powered lift combined).

- Comfort with a domicile in Seattle, WA; Honolulu, HI; or Cincinnati, OH.
- Demonstrated excellent judgment, leadership capabilities, commandability, and maturity.

Compensation and Benefits
Alaska Airlines Seniority List Pay Details:
- First-year pay rate: $124.72 per hour (as per contract).
- Monthly pay guarantee: 70 hours.
- Reserve pay guarantee: 75 hours (long call); 84 hours (short call).
Hawaiian Airlines Seniority List Pay Details:
- First-year pay rate: $87.00 per hour (as per contract).
- Monthly pay guarantee: 75 hours.
- Reserve pay guarantee: 75 hours (long call); 75 hours (short call).
