GoJet Airlines is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Chief Pilot (ACP) to join its leadership team in St. Louis, MO. This pivotal management role reports directly to the Chief Pilot and is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational excellence across the airline's flight operations.
About the Role
The Assistant Chief Pilot plays a critical leadership role in maintaining and enhancing aviation safety. This position involves active oversight of flight crewmembers, promoting a culture of safety, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards. The Assistant Chief Pilot is authorized to manage interdepartmental procedures requiring the Chief Pilot's involvement and will assume the Chief Pilot's duties during their absence, demonstrating vigilance for continuous safety improvements.
Requirements

Hold an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with appropriate ratings for at least one aircraft type operated by GoJet Airlines.

Qualified through extensive training, experience, and expertise in aviation operations.

Possess a comprehensive understanding of aviation safety standards, 14 CFR Chapter I (Federal Aviation Regulations), the certificate holder's operations specifications, and all applicable 14 CFR maintenance and airworthiness requirements (including Parts 1, 21, 23, 25, 43, 45, 47, 65, 91, and 121), plus the manual required by 14 CFR 121.133.

Maintain a rating in at least one GoJet aircraft type and, as duties allow, preserve Line Qualification status.

Commit to continuous education and training, including completion of the ground-training portion of Continuing Qualification (CQ) in accordance with AQPTM 8-1.2.C.1.

Actively attend industry meetings and network with other airline officials to remain current on pertinent industry events and practices, as duties allow.

Discharge duties to meet applicable legal requirements and maintain safe operations.
Key Responsibilities

Prioritize safety and security in aircraft operations, promoting safety as a core value and overseeing the implementation, maintenance, development, and integration of the company’s Safety Management System (SMS).

Perform SMS Facilitator duties as assigned, applying Safety Risk Management for new system implementations, existing system revisions, operational procedure developments, and the identification of hazards or ineffective risk controls through the Safety Assurance process.

Ensure all flight operations comply with applicable 14 CFR regulations, Transportation Security Regulations (TSRs), and company policies and procedures.

Collaborate with the Chief Pilot to maintain current operational resources such as Regulations, the Airman's Information Manual (AIM), Operations Bulletins, and Read Files, ensuring proper dissemination of all pertinent information to flight crewmembers.

Assist the Chief Pilot in verifying that each crewmember utilizes the approved company Weight/Balance Program for every revenue-generating flight.

Ensure pilots are aware of and responsive to customer requirements.

Manage and timely complete all assigned Q-Pulse database stages and action items, adhering to 14 CFR Part 5 and SMS Facilitator principles.
