Chief Pilot
GlobalX is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Chief Pilot to lead its flight operations team. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Flight Operations / Director of Operations, the Chief Pilot is responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient execution of all flight operations. This individual will oversee pilot training programs, develop and maintain operational policies, and ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership qualities, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Miami, Florida. Remote work is not available.
Skills and Qualifications:
- FAA-issued Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a type rating for at least one aircraft operated by GlobalX.
Experience:
- If this is the candidate's first Chief Pilot position: A minimum of three years of experience within the past six years as Pilot in Command (PIC) of a large aircraft under Part 121 or Part 135 operations is required.
- If the candidate has previous experience as a Chief Pilot: A minimum of three years of experience as Pilot in Command (PIC) of a large aircraft under Part 121 or Part 135 operations is required.
- Must be a current and qualified Captain with no training failures.
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of FAA regulations, CFRs, and the ability to interpret and develop operational procedures.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and communication skills are essential.
- Must be able to work variable schedules, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Work Schedule:
- The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, with weekends off, except when serving as the duty officer.
- Must be available on-call 24/7 for operational or safety-sensitive matters.
- Must maintain flight proficiency through regular flying assignments.
