HEMS Pilot (SAS)

Gama Aviation, a leading provider of global flight services, seeks a highly skilled and dedicated HEMS Pilot to join their rotary operations team at Inverness. The HEMS Pilot will operate single-pilot IFR and at night, drawing upon prior onshore experience. Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current CAA ATPL(H) or CPL(H) with Instrument Rating.
  • Minimum 1500 hours as pilot-in-command of aircraft, including 500 hours as PIC on twin-turbine helicopters.
  • Minimum 1500 hours twin-turbine helicopter experience.
  • Minimum 500 hours operating experience in helicopters, gained in a relevant environment.
  • Minimum 100 hours IFR, including 25 hours IFR flight experience in the relevant operating environment.
  • Minimum 40 hours as pilot-in-command of helicopters at night.
  • Physically and mentally fit to undertake demands of the role.
  • Fluent in English, possession of a valid driving licence and the right to live and work in the UK.

Advantageous Skills and Experience:

  • H145 type rating.
  • Familiarity with AOC HEMS operations.
  • NVIS experience.
