Flight Instructor
A Flight Instructor is sought to perform comprehensive flight instruction duties in strict adherence to GCAA Regulations and approved Training Manuals. The role involves delivering instruction across a range of GCAA Pilot Licence courses within the authorised scope and conducting necessary synthetic flight instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver authorized flight instruction in accordance with GCAA Regulations and approved Training Manuals.
- Teach various GCAA Pilot Licence courses and conduct synthetic flight instruction.
- Conduct timely briefing and debriefing for trainee pilots and assign grades for each flight.
- Ensure all students comprehend and implement Flight Safety principles.
- Schedule students regularly to maintain satisfactory progress and promptly report training delays or unsatisfactory performance to the CFI.
- Maintain accurate student training records, logbooks, and computer records.
- Ensure students meet course standards, training requirements, and objectives as specified in Training Manuals.
- Initiate stage check requests for assigned students.
- Ensure timely course completion for assigned students, including associated paperwork.
- Monitor training aircraft maintenance condition and report safety issues or defects to maintenance personnel.
- Recommend curriculum improvements and develop new courseware as assigned.
- Provide theoretical knowledge instruction on aircraft technical systems.
- Assist the CFI & HT with training activities as required.
- Verify student eligibility and requirements for CAR FCL licence issue.
- Maintain personal records, licenses, ratings, and certifications currency.
- Coordinate with flight operations for student bookings and issue flight sortie authorizations.
Essential Requirements:
- Hold a valid GCAA Flight Instructor Rating with relevant endorsements (e.g., Night Rating, Navigation).
- Possess a CPL or ATPL with a strong instructional background.
- Minimum total flight hours: 1,500, including at least 1,000 hours of instructional time and a minimum of 200 instrument hours.
- Demonstrated experience in intermediate-level training tasks (e.g., solo supervision, navigation).
- Minimum ELP (English Language Proficiency) Level 4 (Level 5 preferred).
- Familiarity with GCAA regulations and intermediate phase syllabus.
- Possess strong debriefing and mentoring skills.
