About the Role
This role is integral to maintaining the highest standards of pilot proficiency and operational safety within the airline. The primary objective is to deliver all mandated pilot training on flydubai simulators in strict compliance with GCAA regulations and the airline's comprehensive training program standards.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will undertake a range of critical duties to support pilot development and operational readiness, including:
- Conducting essential pilot training sessions utilizing flydubai's advanced simulators, focusing particularly on requirements for the issuance, revalidation, and renewal of the Instrument Rating. This includes training for pilots holding or having previously held an Instrument Rating on the Boeing 737 who have completed the necessary Instrument Rating Instructor course.
- Evaluating existing training procedures against the official Operations Manual and flydubai's operating policies, identifying any discrepancies or areas for improvement and providing valuable feedback to management.
- Offering comprehensive oversight and guidance to Flight Crew regarding updates or changes to operating procedures, ensuring consistent application.
- Proposing proactive improvements to operating procedures designed to enhance efficiency and further elevate safety standards across operations.
- Completing all mandatory training forms accurately and within required timelines, ensuring proper administrative processing and filing with the relevant departments.
- Providing timely and constructive feedback to management on pilot performance, aiding in the identification and resolution of performance issues through tailored remedial actions.
- Rigorously evaluating and meticulously documenting pilots' performance throughout training sessions, maintaining accurate and current progress reports.
- Recommending suitable and personalised remedial training programmes specifically designed to address each pilot's unique training needs.
- Conducting and subsequently documenting the detailed results of required simulator training and flight training device sessions, as outlined in the relevant OMD1 document.
- Providing crucial support and assistance to the recruitment team during pilot selection processes. This includes evaluating candidate competence during simulator assessments and completing all required new hire assessment reports.
- Performing necessary office duties, contributing to projects, assisting with course development, and undertaking other tasks required to effectively support the overall pilot training programme, potentially including the delivery of ground school lectures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- Complete fluency in English is essential.
- A minimum of 2000 hours of total flight time experience is required, including at least 1500 hours serving as a pilot on multi-pilot aircraft.
- Possession of 7-9 years of relevant experience within the aviation sector, aligning with the specified flight time requirements.

Information Security Responsibility (ISR) Requirements
The role demands full compliance with the Company's ISR policies. The incumbent must diligently report any security weaknesses or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team, complete all required ISR awareness sessions, and adhere to associated guidelines in all day-to-day business operations.
