Job Summary
The First Officer plays a critical role in maintaining flight safety and operational efficiency in accordance with all company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations. Key responsibilities include:

Ensuring safe and timely completion of flight operations.

Operating the aircraft during designated duty periods, including weekends, holidays, and night operations.

Conducting thorough pre and post-flight inspections to ensure aircraft airworthiness.

Reviewing weather conditions for departure, arrival, and alternate stations.

Planning and ensuring proper fueling for safe flight conduct.

Assisting with the proper handling of aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo, while monitoring on-time departures.

Communicating potential operational factors affecting the flight to crew and passengers.

Verifying the load manifest and passenger count prior to each departure.
Requirements

1,500 hours total flight time (2,500 hours preferred)

750 hours multi-engine fixed wing
-
500 hours pilot in command (PIC)

500 hours jet/turboprop
-
Current FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate

ATP Certificate
-
FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit

Valid US Passport with machine-readable print, or a valid foreign passport with authorization to work in the United States.

Ability to travel in and out of all cities and countries served by Frontier Airlines.

Willingness to relocate.

Availability to work weekends, nights, holidays, and overnight trips.

Ability and desire to maintain a well-groomed and professional appearance.

Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing and background checks.

Compliance with the company’s COVID policies, including vaccination requirements.

Experience with sophisticated aircraft equipment such as Electronic Flight Instrument Systems (EFIS) and Flight Management Systems (FMS) is preferred.
Working Conditions & Physical Effort

Work involves standard office equipment, iPads, electronic tablets, aircraft controls, company manuals, navigation charts, and flashlights.

Requires moderate physical activity, including handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently.
