Position Overview

Four Corners Aviation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pilot-in-Command (PIC) to join their forward-thinking team. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of passengers, crewmembers, and cargo during all aircraft operations under FAR Part 135. The Pilot-in-Command reports to the Chief Pilot and holds ultimate responsibility for flight safety, although operational duties may be delegated.

Location

This position requires the candidate to be located within a 90-minute radius of Addison, Texas. Local candidates are strongly preferred. Relocation to the Addison, TX area will be required if the candidate is not currently local.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
  • Lear45 Aircraft type rating is highly preferred.
  • Current First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Minimum of 3500 hours of total flight time.
  • Minimum of 1500 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time in turbine aircraft.
  • Demonstrated strong Crew Resource Management (CRM) skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and possess the ability to travel to any international destination.
  • Must be enrolled in an FAA/DOT approved Drug & Alcohol Program.
  • Ability to pass a TSA Criminal History Records Check.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the final authority for the operation of the assigned aircraft.
  • Possess the authority to delay, cancel, or discontinue a flight if conditions are deemed unsuitable for safe operation.
  • Exercise the authority to alter a planned flight en route when necessary for the safer operation of the aircraft.
  • Adhere strictly to Company operating policies and procedures, particularly concerning aircraft performance (takeoff, en-route, landing, special operations, mountainous airports) to mitigate the risk of Controlled Flight Into Terrain (CFIT).
  • Responsible for comprehensive flight planning, considering weather suitability, routing, airport conditions, traffic, airway facilities, and aircraft performance.
  • Ensure that initiated flights are completed as planned, making necessary en-route adjustments to maintain compliance with appropriate procedures and regulations.
  • Conduct all flights in a safe and prudent manner, including:
    • Reviewing and reporting the maintenance status of each aircraft.
    • Performing thorough preflight inspections in accordance with the approved Airplane Flight Manual or accepted preflight checklist.
    • Conducting a complete check of weather and facilities along the route and at the destination airport.
    • Ensuring flight operations comply with the Company Manual, Operations Specifications, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
    • Verifying that weight and balance procedures are followed, ensuring the gross weight and center of gravity (CG) are within operational limits.
    • Prioritizing the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew.
    • Accurately completing all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.
  • Comply with all directions and instructions from the Certificate Holder, adhering to Operations Specifications, regulations, and policies regarding operational control under Part 135. Failure to comply may result in FAA legal action.
  • Execute all duties and responsibilities in a consistently professional manner, serving as a role model for crewmembers in conduct, appearance, alertness, discipline, and adherence to policies and standards. Maintain open communication and receptiveness to input from all crewmembers for the shared goal of a safe flight operation.
  • Fulfill all regulatory, Operations Specifications, and policy and procedure requirements outlined in the manual.
  • Successfully complete FAA/DOT Part 120 Pre-Employment drug screening and be enrolled in the random drug and alcohol testing program.
  • Report all flight interruptions to the Company prior to the next departure.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot.
