Position Summary:
Executive Jet Management is seeking a qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Learjet 45XR based in Nashville, TN. This is a home-based opportunity for candidates with reasonable commute options. The role operates on EJM's Part 135 certificate as part of a dedicated three-pilot account, typically flying 400-450 hours per year. The PIC bears final responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft while adhering to all company and regulatory requirements and delivering an exceptional service experience.
Key Responsibilities:
The Pilot in Command is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of flights, delivering exceptional service, and maintaining proficiency and compliance. Key duties include:
- Ensuring crew and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completing all necessary flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks.
- Leading required briefings using the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
- Adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating effectively with company personnel.
- Serving as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator in accordance with company policy.
- Performing comprehensive aircraft pre-flight tasks, including verifying maintenance status, to ensure the aircraft is mission-capable.
- Documenting all aircraft discrepancies following company SOPs.
- Monitoring and ensuring the accomplishment of all aircraft ground servicing (fueling, oil, oxygen, etc.) according to SOPs.
- Conducting passenger briefings per company policy and regulations.
- Providing the highest level of customer service and accommodating passengers' special needs.
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during all phases of flight.
- Providing quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the service experience, and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to ensure a consistent service experience and resolving conflicts professionally.
- Maintaining all required regulatory and company training and recency of experience.
- Complying with the company SMS program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in Part 135 operations is required.
- An FAA Type Rating for the Learjet 45XR is preferred.
- Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum flight time requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
- PIC Multi Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
