Pilot in Command - Gulfstream 600
Executive Jet Management, a subsidiary of NetJets and part of the world's largest private aviation infrastructure, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command to join its team in Boca Raton, Florida. Purpose of the Position
The Pilot in Command (PIC) will be responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of a Gulfstream 600 aircraft, supporting a family with a long-standing history of aircraft ownership. This is a three-pilot account flying under Part 91 regulations and includes a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant. The successful candidate will prioritize safety and service excellence while upholding the company's high standards of professionalism.
This position involves primarily domestic travel with occasional international trips, offering a balanced work-life schedule due to the three-pilot rotation. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing an exceptional service experience.
Responsibilities
The Pilot in Command will be responsible for:
- Ensuring Safe Flight Operations:
- Complying with all company and regulatory requirements for crewing and trip assignments.
- Completing comprehensive flight planning, including performance calculations, weight and balance, and utilizing Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to mitigate operational risks.
- Adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel as needed.
- Acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as outlined by company policy.
- Conducting thorough pre-flight inspections, including the maintenance status of the aircraft, to ensure mission capability.
- Recording all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Ensuring all ground servicing items (fueling, oil, oxygen) are monitored and completed as per SOPs.
- Providing passenger briefings that meet company policy and regulatory standards, and delivering the highest level of customer service, addressing any special needs of passengers.
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Delivering Exceptional Service:
- Providing exceptional service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience and regularly investigating and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure consistent service quality for owners and passengers.
- Resolving conflicts and challenges in a professional and acceptable manner.
- Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintaining all regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Adhering to the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through established channels.
Qualifications
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
- 8-10 years of experience in corporate/business aviation
- FAA Type Rating in applicable fleet (GV, GVI, or GVII) - strong preference for GVII-typed individuals
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position
