Pilot in Command - Gulfstream 600
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Pilot in Command to join their team. This position will be based in White Plains, NY (KHPN) and involves operating a Gulfstream 600 aircraft as part of a 7-pilot account. The selected candidate will benefit from the support of dedicated Maintenance Technicians and Flight Attendants while operating under Part 91 regulations.
The Role:
As Pilot in Command (PIC), you will hold the critical responsibility of ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This multifaceted role demands a meticulous approach to flight planning, a steadfast commitment to regulatory compliance, and an unwavering dedication to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all crew and trip assignments adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Diligently execute flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each flight.
- Employ the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead pre-flight briefings and proactively mitigate operational risks.
- Operate in strict accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinate seamlessly with ground staff and other company personnel.
- Act as the designated Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as outlined in company policy.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections, including verification of the aircraft's maintenance status, to guarantee its mission readiness.
- Maintain meticulous records of any aircraft discrepancies, strictly adhering to company SOPs.
- Supervise and ensure the completion of all aircraft ground servicing tasks (fueling, oil, oxygen, etc.) in accordance with established SOPs.
- Deliver comprehensive passenger briefings that meet company policy and regulatory standards, while demonstrating a commitment to providing the highest level of customer service.
- Skillfully employ Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to communicate effectively with crew members and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency situations.
- Exceptional Service Delivery:
- Provide owners and passengers with an unparalleled travel experience, consistently seeking opportunities to enhance the EJM service.
- Proactively address and resolve service deviations, ensuring passenger satisfaction remains paramount.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to cultivate a seamless and consistent service experience.
- Display strong interpersonal skills, adeptly resolving conflicts and challenges in a professional and respectful manner.
- Professional Development and Continuous Improvement:
- Maintain all regulatory and company-mandated training requirements, ensuring recency of experience in all areas.
- Actively participate in the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program, promptly reporting any safety or compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Qualifications:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is highly desirable.
- FAA Type rating in Gulfstream GVII is required.
- Must possess the physical capacity to perform all essential job functions.
- Minimum Flight Experience:
- Total Time: 3,500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2,000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: $110,000 - $432,000
