Position Summary:
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a G200 aircraft, based at KFTW. The successful candidate will be an integral member of a three-pilot team, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician. The aircraft operates under EJM's Part 135 certificate, with an anticipated annual flight time of approximately 450 hours. This position requires the PIC to reside in or be willing to relocate to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The Pilot in Command holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. They must adhere to all company and regulatory standards while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring Safe Operation of Flight:
- Ensures crewing and trip assignments comply with all company and regulatory requirements.
- Completes meticulous flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
- Leads comprehensive briefings utilizing the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
- Strictly adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and collaborates with relevant personnel. Serves as the designated Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as per company policy.
- Completes thorough pre-flight checks, including verifying aircraft maintenance status, to guarantee mission readiness. Records all aircraft discrepancies according to company SOPs.
- Monitors and ensures all aircraft ground servicing requirements (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are fulfilled in compliance with SOPs.
- Conducts passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulation, providing the highest level of customer service and accommodating special needs.
- Employs Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to maintain clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during all operational phases.
- Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provides exemplary service to owners and passengers, actively seeking opportunities to elevate the EJM service experience and promptly resolving service deviations.
- Collaborates effectively with crew members and EJM partners to ensure a consistent service experience. Manages conflict and challenges professionally and constructively.
- Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintains all required regulatory and company training and recency standards.
- Adheres to the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and reports all safety concerns or non-compliance issues through designated channels.
Experience:
4-6 years of relevant experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs):
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is essential.
- FAA Type Rating for the G200 (preferred).
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
- Preference will be given to candidates residing in the local area.
- Must meet the following minimum requirements for PIC:
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument Time: 300 hours
- Jet Time: 500 hours
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) License
