Pilot in Command (PIC) - Gulfstream G200
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a leader in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream G200 based at KFTW (Fort Worth). This position is part of a three-pilot operation supported by a dedicated maintenance technician, operating under EJM's Part 135 certificate. The aircraft operates approximately 450 flight hours annually. Candidates must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Purpose of the Position:
The PIC holds ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the assigned aircraft. This role demands meticulous adherence to all company and regulatory requirements, while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience for passengers.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Ensuring Safe Flight Operations:
- Meets all crewing and trip assignment requirements stipulated by company policy and regulations.
- Completes comprehensive flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance computations for each flight.
- Employs Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to conduct thorough briefings and proactively mitigate operational risks.
- Strictly adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintains effective coordination with all relevant company personnel. Serves as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Performs all pre-flight aircraft checks, verifying the aircraft's maintenance status and mission readiness. Accurately documents all discrepancies according to company SOPs.
- Monitors and ensures all aircraft ground servicing requirements (fueling, oil, oxygen, etc.) are completed according to established SOPs.
- Conducts passenger briefings adhering to company policy and regulatory standards. Provides superior customer service, accommodating any special needs, including those of passengers with physical limitations.
- Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to foster clear, timely communication with crew and support personnel across all operational phases.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provides consistently high-quality service to aircraft owners and passengers, actively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience and promptly resolving any service discrepancies.
- Collaborates effectively with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to maintain a consistent and superior service experience for owners and passengers. Proactively addresses and resolves conflicts in a professional and constructive manner.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintains currency in all regulatory and company-required training and experience.
- Demonstrates full compliance with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and promptly reports any safety concerns or instances of non-compliance through appropriate channels.
Experience and Qualifications:
4-6 years of experience in corporate/business aviation. FAA Type Rating for Gulfstream G200 (preferred). Ability to perform all essential functions of the position. Local candidates preferred.
Minimum PIC Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
- ATP License
