Pilot in Command or Second in Command - Gulfstream G200
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking qualified candidates for a Pilot in Command (PIC) or Second in Command (SIC) position flying a Gulfstream G200 based at Fort Worth Alliance Airport (KFTW).
This is a three-pilot account supported by a Maintenance Technician. The aircraft will operate under EJM's Part 135 certificate and will fly approximately 450 hours per year. Successful candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The Pilot in Command (PIC) holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. The PIC adheres to all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience for passengers.
The Second in Command (SIC) reports to the Chief Pilot and is responsible for performing all assigned duties related to the safe and efficient execution of flight assignments. The SIC reports to the assigned PIC for the duration of each flight and completes all tasks as directed by the PIC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring Safe Operation of Flight:
- Confirming crew and trip assignments meet company and regulatory requirements.
- Completing flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks.
- Utilizing the Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel as needed. Serving as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as outlined in company policy.
- Completing all pre-flight aircraft checks, including maintenance status verification, to ensure mission readiness. Recording all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Monitoring and ensuring all aircraft ground servicing requirements (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are completed according to SOPs.
- Conducting passenger briefings according to company policy and regulations. Providing the highest level of customer service and catering to any special needs of passengers (e.g., physically challenged).
- Employing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to effectively communicate with crew and support personnel during all phases of operation (normal, abnormal, and emergency).
- Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Providing high-quality service to owners and passengers while proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Regularly investigating and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to provide a consistent service experience for owners and passengers. Resolving conflicts and challenges professionally and effectively.
- Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintaining required regulatory and company training and recency of experience.
- Adhering to the company Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting any safety concerns or non-compliance issues through designated channels.
Experience:
- 4-6 years of experience in corporate/business aviation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAOs):
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation.
- FAA Type Rating for the Gulfstream G200 (preferred).
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Preference given to local candidates.
- Must meet the minimum requirements for either PIC or SIC, as outlined below.
Minimum PIC Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours.
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours.
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours.
- PIC MEL: 500 hours.
- Instrument: 300 hours.
- Jet: 500 hours.
- ATP License.
Minimum SIC Time Requirements:
- ATP License.
- Total flight time: 2500 hours.
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours.
- Pilot in Command: 500 hours.
- Instrument: 150 hours.
- Jet: 250 hours.
- Turbine Engine: 100 hours.
