Pilot in Command - Gulfstream G200
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command to join its team based at San Jose, California (KSJC). This role involves operating a Gulfstream G200 aircraft, contributing to a dedicated flight department, and upholding the company's commitment to safety, compliance, and exceptional service.
Purpose of the Position:
The Pilot in Command (PIC) is responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the Gulfstream G200 aircraft. This encompasses adherence to all company and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering a superior service experience for passengers.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Ensuring Safe Operation of Flight:
- Comply with company and regulatory requirements for crewing and trip assignments.
- Execute thorough flight planning, including performance analysis, weight and balance calculations, and necessary documentation.
- Utilize Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain open communication with company personnel.
- Serve as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-flight inspections, verifying aircraft maintenance status and ensuring mission capability.
- Record any aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Supervise and monitor all ground servicing activities, such as fueling, oil, and oxygen, ensuring compliance with SOPs.
- Deliver passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any special needs, including those of physically challenged passengers.
- Emphasize Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for clear and timely communication with crew members and support personnel during routine, non-standard, and emergency operations.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provide high-quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Proactively investigate and resolve service deviations.
- Collaborate with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Effectively resolve conflicts and challenges in a professional manner.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintain up-to-date training and recency of experience as required by regulations and company policy.
- Comply with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program, reporting any safety or non-compliance concerns through established channels.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs):
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is essential.
- Type rating in the G200 is preferred.
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Base Salary Range:
$110,000 - $432,000
