Pilot in Command - Gulfstream G550
Executive Jet Management, a subsidiary of NetJets and a pioneer in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, is seeking a qualified and experienced Pilot in Command for a Gulfstream G550 aircraft. This position is based in Wheeling, IL (near Chicago), operating from PWK airport. The role involves a two-pilot account, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant, flying under Part 91 and internal 135 regulations to domestic and international destinations. The crew collaborates to coordinate a monthly schedule.
The Pilot in Command is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of the flight, adhering to company SOPs, and delivering an exceptional service experience to owners and passengers.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completes flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks.
- Utilizes Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel. Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
- Completes all aircraft pre-flight tasks, ensuring the aircraft is mission-capable and recording all discrepancies.
- Monitors and accomplishes all aircraft ground servicing items (fueling, oil, oxygen) in accordance with SOPs.
- Completes passenger briefings and delivers the highest level of customer service, meeting any special needs.
- Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively with crew and support personnel.
- Provides quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Collaborates with crew members and EJM internal partners to provide a consistent service experience.
- Maintains regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complies with the company SMS program and reports safety or non-compliance concerns.
Qualifications:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- First Class Medical Certificate.
- 4-6 years of experience.
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
- FAA Type rating in applicable fleet (G550).
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours.
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours.
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours.
- PIC MEL: 500 hours.
- Instrument: 300 hours.
- Jet: 500 hours.
Preference is given to local pilots with Gulfstream experience.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this position is dependent on cabin size, ranging from $160,000 to $425,000.
- Small/Mid/Supermid: $160,000 - $325,000
- Large/Heavy/Premium: $160,000 - $425,000
