EJM is seeking a qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream G550 aircraft based in Henderson, Nevada (HND). This is a two-pilot account supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant, operating under both Part 91 and Part 135 regulations. This established account averages approximately 300 flight hours annually, with destinations spanning from the East to West Coast, Hawaii, Central America, and Europe. Experience in international operations is strongly preferred given the mission profile.
The Pilot in Command holds the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. The PIC adheres to all company and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensures crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completes flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment, as required.
- Utilizes Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel as required. Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Completes all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including verifying the maintenance status of the aircraft, to ensure mission readiness. Records all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Ensures all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are monitored and accomplished per SOPs.
- Delivers passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations. Provides the highest level of customer service and attends to any special passenger needs (e.g., physically challenged).
- Employs Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to communicate clearly and promptly with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Provides quality service to owners and passengers while identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Regularly investigates and resolves service deviations.
- Collaborates with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to provide a consistent service experience to owners and passengers. Resolves conflict and challenges constructively.
- Maintains regulatory and company-required training and currency of experience.
- Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements:
- Prior experience in corporate aviation and Part 135 operations is required.
- Prior experience with Atlantic Crossings is strongly preferred.
- FAA Type rating in G550/V/450 series is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Base Salary Range:
Large/Heavy/Premium Cabin Aircraft: $160,000 - $300,000
