Pilot in Command - Gulfstream 550
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a highly qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream 550 aircraft based at Bradley International Airport (KBDL) in Connecticut. This position involves operating under Part 91 regulations within a multi-pilot environment, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant. The PIC bears ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft, adhering to all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience.
The PIC will provide aviation support to a family with a long history of aircraft ownership. Travel will be primarily domestic, with occasional international trips. While no fixed schedule exists, a three-pilot rotation is in place to facilitate a comfortable work-life balance. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, service-oriented, a team player, and possesses a high attention to detail.
Candidates must be local to the KBDL area or willing to relocate. The position requires 8-10 years of experience, with prior experience in corporate/business aviation being a necessity. The candidate must hold an FAA Type Rating in the applicable fleet (G550 or G650). They must also be able to perform the essential functions of the position. Minimum flight time requirements include: 3500 total hours, 1500 hours Multi Engine Land, 2000 hours Pilot in Command, 500 hours PIC Multi Engine Land, 300 hours Instrument, and 500 hours Jet. The applicant must possess the required FAA certifications.
