Pilot in Command - Gulfstream G450

Executive Jet Management, a subsidiary of NetJets and part of the Berkshire Hathaway family of companies, seeks a highly qualified and experienced Pilot in Command to operate a Gulfstream G450 aircraft. This position is based at Atlanta, GA (KPDK) and operates within a three-pilot team supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician, under Part 135 regulations.

Position Purpose

The Pilot in Command (PIC) bears the ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. The PIC ensures strict adherence to all company and regulatory requirements while delivering a superior service experience. This role demands a dedicated professional committed to upholding the highest standards of aviation safety and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safe Flight Operations: The PIC is responsible for ensuring safe and compliant crewing and trip assignments. This includes meticulous flight planning, performance calculations, weight and balance tasks, and adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The PIC utilizes a Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead effective briefings and mitigate operational risks. He acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator, completes all pre-flight tasks, ensures the aircraft's mission readiness, and monitors all ground servicing requirements. The PIC conducts passenger briefings and delivers exceptional customer service, including meeting specific passenger needs. He also utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively with crew and support personnel during all phases of operations.
  • Exceptional Service Delivery: The PIC proactively provides high-quality service to owners and passengers and investigates and resolves service deviations. He collaborates with crew members and internal partners to ensure a consistent and superior service experience and effectively resolves conflicts and challenges.
  • Proficiency and Compliance: The PIC diligently maintains regulatory and company-mandated training and currency requirements. He adheres to the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports safety concerns through the designated channels.

Required Qualifications:

  • Four to six years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred.
  • FAA Type rating for applicable aircraft (G450).
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
    • Total flight time: 3500 hours
    • Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
    • Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
    • PIC MEL: 500 hours
    • Instrument: 300 hours
    • Jet: 500 hours
