Pilot in Command - Gulfstream G650
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command to join their esteemed team. This exceptional opportunity is based in White Plains, NY (KHPN) and involves operating a G550 aircraft as part of a dedicated six-pilot account. Supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Flight Attendant, the selected candidate will operate under Part 135 regulations.
Position Overview:
The Pilot in Command (PIC) bears the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This encompasses meticulous adherence to all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an unparalleled service experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring Safe Flight Operations:
- Verify compliance of crewing and trip assignments with company and regulatory standards.
- Execute meticulous flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance assessments for each flight.
- Employ the Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to conduct thorough briefings and mitigate potential operational risks.
- Adhere strictly to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain seamless coordination with relevant company personnel. Act as the designated Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as outlined in company policy.
- Diligently perform pre-flight aircraft inspections, including verification of maintenance status, to guarantee the aircraft's mission readiness. Meticulously document any discrepancies found in accordance with established company SOPs.
- Maintain vigilant oversight of all ground servicing procedures (fueling, oil, oxygen, etc.) to ensure strict adherence to SOPs.
- Deliver comprehensive passenger briefings in line with company policy and regulatory guidelines. Provide the highest level of customer service and demonstrate attentiveness to the unique needs of all passengers, including those with disabilities.
- Utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to foster clear and timely communication with crew members and support personnel during routine, abnormal, and emergency situations.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provide impeccable service to aircraft owners and passengers, while proactively identifying opportunities to elevate the EJM experience. Maintain a proactive approach to investigating and resolving service deviations.
- Foster a collaborative environment with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to deliver a consistent and exceptional service experience. Exhibit professionalism and diplomacy when resolving conflicts and addressing challenges.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Remain current on all regulatory and company-mandated training requirements and maintain the required recency of experience.
- Demonstrate unwavering commitment to the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program. Report any safety concerns or instances of non-compliance through the designated channels.
Qualifications:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
- First Class Medical Certificate
- Proven experience in corporate/business aviation is highly desirable
- FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet
- Ability to perform all essential job functions
- Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Compensation and Benefits:
This position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $110,000 to $432,000, commensurate with experience. Executive Jet Management provides a comprehensive benefits package including:
