Position Overview
Executive Jet Management seeks qualified candidates for a pilot position on a well-established Falcon 7X aircraft based at Dupage Airport (DPA) in Chicago, IL. This role is part of a three-pilot team, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician. The operation involves Part 91 and Part 135 flying to domestic and international destinations.
This position requires residency within driving distance of Dupage Airport; it is not a commutable position.
Key Responsibilities
The pilot is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of flight and delivering an exceptional service experience. Key tasks include:
- Ensuring crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completing flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
- Utilizing Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel.
- Acting as the Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator in accordance with company policy.
- Completing all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including verifying the maintenance status, to ensure the aircraft is mission capable. Recording all aircraft discrepancies according to company SOPs.
- Monitoring and ensuring all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are accomplished in accordance with SOPs.
- Completing passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations.
- Delivering the highest level of customer service and accommodating any special passenger needs.
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during all operations.
- Providing quality service to owners and passengers while identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Investigating and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure a consistent service experience. Resolving conflict and challenges professionally.
- Maintaining regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complying with the company SMS program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Required Certifications and Licenses
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
- First Class Medical Certificate
Required Experience
4-6 years of experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation.
- FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet (Falcon 7X).
Compensation
The base salary range for this position varies based on cabin size experience:
- Small/Mid/Supermid Aircraft: $160,000 - $325,000
- Large/Heavy/Premium Aircraft: $160,000 - $425,000
