Pilot in Command – Praetor 600

Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and subsidiary of NetJets, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Praetor 600 based at Washington, D.C. (KIAD). This Part 91 operation, supported by a dedicated maintenance technician, offers a predictable schedule with approximately 25% international travel.

Purpose:

The PIC assumes ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This encompasses adherence to all company and regulatory standards while providing an exceptional passenger experience.

Responsibilities:

Safe Flight Operations:

Ensuring compliance with all company and regulatory requirements regarding crewing and trip assignments. This includes comprehensive flight planning, performance calculations, weight and balance management, and utilization of Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to mitigate operational risks. Strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), coordination with company personnel, and acting as the Ground and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy are essential. The PIC will meticulously conduct pre-flight checks, document any aircraft discrepancies, and oversee all ground servicing, ensuring aircraft readiness and compliance with SOPs. Comprehensive passenger briefings, prioritizing exceptional customer service and addressing special needs, are also expected. Effective communication with crew and support personnel using Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) is critical during all phases of flight.

Exceptional Service:

Providing superior service to owners and passengers, proactively identifying and addressing service improvements. Collaboration with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure consistent service delivery and effective conflict resolution are key elements of this role.

Proficiency and Compliance:

Maintaining currency with all regulatory and company-mandated training and experience requirements. Active participation in the company Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting of safety concerns through established channels are essential.
