Position Overview
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is actively seeking qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) candidates for a Phenom 300 aircraft. This exciting opportunity is based in Sarasota, Florida (KSRQ). The role involves a two-pilot operation, flying approximately 300 hours annually under Part 91 regulations. Key Responsibilities
Ensuring Safe Flight Operations:
- Ensures all crewing and trip assignments adhere to company and regulatory compliance standards.
- Conducts comprehensive flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance assessments for each assignment.
- Leads required briefings using the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to effectively mitigate operational risks.
- Maintains strict adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and collaborates seamlessly with company personnel. Assumes responsibilities as Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as per company policy.
- Completes all pre-flight aircraft tasks, including verifying maintenance status, to confirm mission capability. Documents all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Monitors and ensures all aircraft ground servicing requirements, such as fueling, oil, and oxygen levels, are met in accordance with SOPs.
- Conducts passenger briefings in compliance with company policy and regulations, consistently delivering the highest caliber of customer service and accommodating special passenger needs, including those with physical challenges.
- Employs Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to facilitate clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency situations.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provides premium service to aircraft owners and passengers, actively seeking opportunities to elevate the EJM service standard. Investigates and resolves service deviations promptly and effectively.
- Collaborates with fellow crew members and EJM internal departments to ensure a unified and exceptional service experience for all clients. Addresses conflicts and challenges constructively.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Ensures continuous compliance with all regulatory and company-mandated training and recency of experience requirements.
- Actively participates in the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports any safety or compliance concerns through established channels.
Required Qualifications and Skills (KSAOs)
- Previous experience in corporate or business aviation is essential.
- Phenom 300 type rating is strongly preferred.
- Must possess the ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
- Mandatory residency in or willingness to relocate to Southwest Florida.
- Minimum flight time requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
- ATP certification
