Regional Chief Pilot - Northeast (NYC Metro)
Executive Jet Management is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Chief Pilot to manage pilots and oversee Part 91/135 operations within the Northeast region, with a focus on the New York Metro area. This position offers the opportunity to serve as a flight crewmember on EJM managed aircraft on an as-needed basis. While flight crew qualifications are preferred, they are not required for this non-14 CFR 119 position.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for pilots and crew members, addressing questions, issues, and opportunities related to the safe operation of flight duties.
- Ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Foster strong two-way communication, team collaboration, and fitness for duty among pilots, actively engaging in regular problem solving and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with internal departments during account, aircraft, and pilot onboarding and offboarding processes, including interviewing, training compliance/scheduling, aircraft conformity activities, termination, year-end reviews, promotions, and other related activities.
- Partner with Owner Services, Sales, Human Resources, Safety, Fleet Maintenance, and other internal stakeholders to guarantee consistent staffing and mission readiness for accounts, including training and flight currency.
- Act as a primary contact for aircraft owners on all pilot-related matters.
- Support the Chief Pilot and Director of Operations in policy and procedure development, implementation, compliance, and other initiatives as assigned.
- Manage aviation incidents and events, ensuring accurate reporting and timely follow-up.
- Provide mentorship and assimilation support for new hire pilots, in collaboration with the account Lead Pilot, during their first year of employment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aviation Management, or equivalent work experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- 10+ years of experience in Flight Operations, Dispatch, Operational Control, or equivalent.
- Thorough knowledge of FAA regulations governing Part 91, Part 135, and Part 119.
- Familiarity with IACO SARPS and international operations.
- Self-motivated, high achiever with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Preference given to candidates with experience in global Part 135 operations.
Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary Range: $200,000 - $355,000
