Role Overview and Key Responsibilities
The Flight Attendant plays a pivotal role in delivering a safe and memorable on-board experience for every customer, every day. Crew bases include Atlanta, Cincinnati, Detroit, Minneapolis, New York-LaGuardia, New York-JFK, and Raleigh-Durham.
Cabin Crew Members are primarily responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of all customers by:
- Upholding the highest safety standards and strictly adhering to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, established policies, and laws.
- Effectively responding to emergency situations, which includes providing emergency medical assistance such as performing CPR and basic first aid.
- Delivering world-class customer service, including preparing and serving meals, snacks, and beverages, and processing payments for purchased items.
- Providing necessary assistance to customers, including safely lifting, transporting, and stowing luggage into overhead bins, and offering specialized attention to unaccompanied minors, the elderly, and individuals with special needs.
- Clearly and professionally communicating through verbal public address announcements, performing safety demonstrations, and providing timely informational updates.
- Maintaining full compliance with professional appearance guidelines and embodying a positive, composed attitude throughout all work activities.
- Effectively managing time and utilizing mobile handheld devices (including company-provided iPhone 15 SkyPro and iPad Pro) and basic computer programs to complete necessary work assignments and administrative reporting.
Compensation and Industry-Leading Training
Endeavor Air provides an industry-leading training package designed to set new Flight Attendants up for success, covering all associated costs and providing compensation during the training period. The training package includes:
- Training pay of $1,500, disbursed in two installments (less applicable taxes).
- Air transportation to and from the training facility in Minneapolis.
- Single-occupancy hotel accommodation and shuttle service to the Endeavor Learning Center (ELC).
- Lunch provided on training days at the ELC.
- A full uniform package.
- Company-issued iPad Pro for training use.
- Company-issued iPhone 15 SkyPro device and accessories for use during training, on the job, and for personal use while employed as an Endeavor Air Flight Attendant.
This is an hourly position with a starting pay range of USD $25.84/Hr. to USD $48.48/Hr., based on the collective bargaining agreement (CBA). Flight Attendants are guaranteed a minimum of 75 credit hours per month. Beginning January 1, 2026, per diem is paid at $2.25 per hour after Initial Operating Experience (IOE).
Qualifications and Requirements
Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications to be considered for this critical safety position:
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Minimum age requirement of 21 years.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required. A BA/BS college degree or a combination of education and related experience is preferred.
- Must be fluent in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Possess and maintain a valid passport and all equivalent travel documents necessary to freely enter and exit all destinations served by Endeavor Air.
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to report to the assigned base within two (2) hours (2.5 hours for NYC bases).
- Must successfully complete the four-week Flight Attendant Initial Training (two weeks remote virtual classroom, two weeks at the ELC in Minneapolis) and the subsequent Initial Operating Experience (on-the-job evaluation).
Physical Requirements
Due to aircraft specifications, candidates must meet strict physical requirements:
- Candidate height must not exceed 5’11½" (71.5 inches) when measured without shoes.
- Ability to reach a minimum of 6'3" (76 inches) when measured without shoes, from flat feet to fingertips.
- Ability to open and close aircraft doors weighing up to 45 pounds and push, pull, or move a beverage cart requiring approximately 32 pounds of force.
- Ability to sit in an assigned jumpseat (21 inches wide) with the seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without a seatbelt extension.
- Ability and willingness to work in confined spaces and manage potential allergens (such as nuts, perfumes, cleaning solvents, fumes, animals, and pet dander).
Professional Appearance Requirements
Endeavor Air Flight Attendants are the face of the airline; strict adherence to the professional appearance guidelines is mandatory from the interview process through employment:
- Tattoos: Visible tattoos are strictly prohibited and must be covered by clothing or waterproof makeup. Tattoos on the hands or fingers are never permitted and may not be covered with makeup or bandages.
- Jewelry: A single side-nose piercing with a pinhead stud is permitted. No other facial or visible body piercings are allowed. A maximum of two small stud earrings (no larger than a dime) per earlobe are permitted. Hoop earrings and ear stretching gauges are not allowed.
- Hair & Nails: Hair color must be a natural-looking hue. Hair touching or longer than the shoulder must be pulled completely back and secured away from the eyes. Nails must be clean, trimmed, and natural-looking (no neon, multi-colors, adornments, or chrome finish).
