Summary of position-
The Chief Pilot will be responsible for supervising flight crew personnel in compliance with FARs and ensure that all pilots and crew members are trained, qualified, and proficient for Parts 135/91 operations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities-

Act as a direct liaison to the FAA for matters pertaining to the operating certificate.

Ensure the execution of plans and policies for company-related compliance issues.

Communicate effectively with the Director of Operations and COO as appropriate regarding relevant flight operations and pilot training activities.

Work with the Director of Training to ensure adequate flight crew training, testing, recording, and archiving of training records.

Work in conjunction with the Director of Safety to ensure best practices when completing risk analysis for upcoming operations and be responsible for canceling or suspending any flight operation in the interest of safety until it can be confirmed that the safety hazard has been removed or is no longer a threat to safe operations.

In the absence of the Director of Operations, responsible for operational control to initiate, terminate, or divert all company flight operations.

Maintains a proactive focus on pilot staffing needs and recommends staffing level adjustments to maintain optimal operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Craft, cultivate and implement solutions in processes and procedures.

Ensures that performance evaluations on all personnel are completed and returned to Human Resources in a timely manner.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities-

Must be thoroughly familiar with the Company Manuals, Operations Specifications and FAA Regulations.

Experience with FAA related Data Collection Tools (DCTs)

Experience with ARGUS and WYVERN audit compliance.

Understand and be able to implement safety management.

Displays strong team building skills in planning, organizing, and staffing members of the flight department team.

Excellent communication skills with quick and accurate decision making.

Ability to pay close attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal skills and able to work effectively with other managers.
Education & Experience-
-
Satisfies the Management Personnel requirements of 14 CFR 119.71 for Chief Pilot.

Global Express (BD-700) or Falcon 7x (DA-7x) type rating A PLUS.

Must be able to hold and maintain a valid first class medical.

Must have previous leadership experience from a Part 135 environment.
Schedule & Travel-

Ability to work varying hours of the day or night, on weekends and holidays.
