First Officer - Corporate Aviation

Key Responsibilities and Contributions
The First Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of aviation safety and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting Safe and Efficient Flight Operations: Performing duties as assigned by the Captain, strictly adhering to all applicable regulations to guarantee safe and smooth flight execution.
- Ensuring Regulatory Compliance: Maintaining vigilance and adherence to all federal, state, local, and international aviation regulations to mitigate legal risks and uphold industry best practices.
- Making Critical Weather-Based Decisions: Analyzing weather conditions thoroughly and making informed decisions regarding flight delays, cancellations, or route adjustments to prioritize passenger safety and operational efficiency.
- Optimizing Flight Planning and Performance: Systematically reviewing flight plans, accurately calculating weight and balance, and utilizing performance charts to ensure the aircraft operates within safe and optimal parameters.
- Enhancing Passenger Experience: Meticulously preparing the aircraft and delivering exceptional customer service to ensure a positive and comfortable travel experience for all passengers, thereby reinforcing the company's reputation.
- Maintaining Aircraft Readiness: Ensuring the aircraft is consistently clean, properly stocked, and fully prepared for flight, contributing to both safety and customer satisfaction.
- Contributing to Departmental Excellence: Actively participating in documentation, safety committees, and hiring initiatives to foster a robust, collaborative, and safety-conscious flight department.
- Supporting Company-Wide Initiatives: Engaging in broader team or company efforts, demonstrating leadership and a commitment to continuous improvement beyond core job functions.

Education, Licenses, and Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid U.S. Passport
- Valid First Class Medical Certificate
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid FAA Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Rating or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
- Minimum 1,000 hours of total flight time
- Minimum 500 hours of Pilot in Command (PIC) turbine time
- Successful completion of an FAA Instrument Proficiency Check within the preceding 12 months
- Preferred: 50 hours of multi-engine, turbine time within the past six months
Experience
- Preferred: Intermediate level of relevant work experience in a corporate aviation setting.
Additional Requirements
- Must successfully pass an FAA Pilot Records Database (PRIA) background check.
- Must successfully pass a National Driver Register check.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate to Columbus, Indiana.
