Abbotsford, BC, Canada
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Conair aircraft in firefighting missions both domestically and internationally.
- Ensure safe, precise, and efficient flying in challenging conditions, including mountainous terrain.
- Participate in regular training and adhere to all safety and operational protocols.
Qualifications:
- Canadian Citizen or legal right to work in Canada.
- Ability to obtain necessary work visas for international firefighting assignments.
- Valid Canadian Driver's License and Passport.
- Commitment to residing in Canada during the fire season.
- Valid Canadian ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License).
- Ability to obtain a Canadian Category 1 Medical Certificate.
- Minimum of 2,000 hours total flight time.
- Minimum of 1,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC).
- At least 250 hours of flying in mountainous terrain.
- Recent flying experience within the last 12 months.
Additional Qualifications for Specific Aircraft:
For Seaplane or Tailwheel Aircraft positions:
- 500 hours PIC on seaplane in a commercial operation, or
- 200 hours on certified tailwheel aircraft.
Please note, a lack of seaplane or tailwheel experience will not preclude other applicants from consideration.
