With a commitment to safety, service excellence, and teamwork, Conair offers a supportive environment focused on professional growth. Based in Abbotsford, BC, Canada, successful candidates will play a critical role in protecting communities from wildfires.
Key responsibilities include operating Conair aircraft in challenging conditions, ensuring safe and precise flight operations during domestic and international firefighting missions, participating in regular training, and adhering to stringent safety protocols. Candidates must be Canadian citizens or possess the legal right to work in Canada, hold a valid Canadian driver's license and passport, and be willing to reside in Canada during the fire season. They must also hold a Canadian Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) and be able to obtain a Canadian Category 1 Medical Certificate.
Minimum flight experience requirements include 2,000 total flight hours, 1,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC), and 250 hours flying in mountainous terrain. Recent flying experience within the last 12 months is also essential.
For specific seaplane or tailwheel positions, additional qualifications apply, including 500 hours PIC on seaplanes in commercial operations or 200 hours on certified tailwheel aircraft. Please note that a lack of seaplane or tailwheel experience will not disqualify other applicants.
Interested candidates are invited to submit their application, including an updated resume, through the Conair Careers Page. While all applications are appreciated, only those selected for interviews will be contacted.
