Lead Captain - Cessna Citation Sovereign
Clay Lacy Aviation is seeking a professional, detail-oriented Lead Captain to join our team in Santa Ana, CA (KSNA). Position Summary
The Lead Captain serves as both a flight crewmember and a key liaison between the aircraft account and Clay Lacy Aviation leadership, including Account Managers, the Director of Maintenance, and Flight Operations management. The role encompasses regulatory compliance, crew scheduling, expense management, and the perpetuation of company culture within the flight department.
Key Responsibilities

Act as Pilot in Command (PIC) or Second in Command (SIC) as required.

Ensure compliance with FAA Part 91/135 regulations, GOM/FOM directives, and SOPs.

Manage crew schedules, training requirements, performance reviews, and expense reporting.

Oversee aircraft maintenance coordination, inventory management, and billing accuracy.

Serve as the primary point of contact for the Account Manager regarding operational and administrative needs.

Facilitate effective communication and positive working relationships within the flight department and with external stakeholders.

Participate in the interview and selection process for flight department personnel.
Required Qualifications

C680 Type Rating (Required).

Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.

Current First Class Medical.

Valid and unexpired Passport and Driver’s License.

Must reside within a two-hour drivable commuting distance to KSNA.

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Demonstrated proficiency in FAA Part 91/135 operations.

Compensation
Annual Salary: $220,000.00 - $250,000.00
