Aviation Captain - Global 5000 Vision
An accomplished and highly motivated Captain is sought to pilot a Global 5000 Vision aircraft, based in Opa-locka, Florida. This pivotal role requires a candidate with a proven track record of exemplary leadership capabilities, complemented by demonstrated communication and management skills essential for fostering effective collaboration with crew members and transparent engagement with aircraft owners.
Role Requirements and Preferences
While a current Global 5000 Vision type rating is highly preferred, exceptionally qualified candidates with a robust aviation background will also be given consideration. A comprehensive understanding of, and experience with, Part 91 and Part 135 operations are prerequisite for this position.
Proximity to the Opa-locka, Florida base is a significant advantage; candidates residing within a two-hour drivable commute are strongly preferred. However, commuters able to demonstrate a reasonable and consistent commute time will also be considered.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 3,500 hours of total flight time.
- Minimum 2,000 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
- Minimum 1,000 hours of turbine aircraft time.
- Possession of a valid FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate is required.
- A type certification is strongly preferred with a minimum of 200 hours in type.
- Unrestricted ability to travel internationally, including to all EU, Canada, and Caribbean countries.
Application and Compliance
The selected candidate must successfully complete all Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) mandated drug screenings and comprehensive background checks. Compliance with random drug and alcohol testing protocols is also required.
The application process necessitates the submission of full, legible, color copies of all FAA certificates (both sides), including the medical certificate, along with a completed disclosure form.
The Captain will also undertake additional duties as assigned to ensure seamless and efficient flight operations.
