Chantilly Air Inc. Seeks Pilot In Command
Chantilly Air Inc. is searching for a highly motivated and experienced Pilot in Command to join its team. This is a new position and requires a new application regardless of previous submissions.
Position Overview
The Pilot in Command holds ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of company aircraft. This individual serves as a key representative of Chantilly Air Inc., upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Reports directly to the Chief Pilot.
- Maintains final authority for the safe operation of all Chantilly Air Inc. aircraft.
- Ensures compliance with all aspects of 14 CFR Part 91 operations, including airworthiness, documentation, weight and balance calculations, weather assessments, performance monitoring, fueling procedures, flight planning, and pre-flight briefings.
- Operates aircraft strictly within manufacturer and company limitations.
- Provides clear direction to the Second in Command, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of individual duties and responsibilities.
- Actively promotes and cultivates a safety-conscious operating environment that adheres to FAA and Chantilly Air Inc. standards.
- Proactively contributes to the ongoing success of Chantilly Air Inc.'s Safety Management System.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintains currency in accordance with FAA Regulations.
- Holds a valid 1st Class Medical certificate as per company policy.
- Provides exceptional levels of professionalism and customer service.
- Demonstrates a collaborative spirit and assists other departments as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Airline Transport Pilot certificate.
- Current FAA First Class Medical certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator's Permit.
- Valid passport.
- No history of accidents or incidents.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to relocate within a 2-hour radius of Chantilly Air Inc.'s Base of Operations in Manassas, VA (KHEF).
- Ability to meet all international travel requirements related to the COVID-19 virus.
Preferred Experience
- 3000+ hours total fixed-wing flight time.
- 2000+ hours total PIC fixed-wing flight time.
- Lear 45 Type Rating.
- 250+ hours Turbine time.
Pre-Employment Screening
Successful candidates must undergo and successfully pass:
- Pre-employment drug screening.
- PRIA background check (including a review of any incidents/accidents).
- Credit check.
- DMV check and possess a valid driver's license.
- Employment verification.
Additional Requirements
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as pulling, pushing, kneeling, twisting, climbing, squatting, bending, and lifting bags and equipment.
Working Conditions
This position operates within the typical environment of an on-demand flight operation. This includes exposure to varying climate conditions, air turbulence, time zone changes, altitude changes, frequent travel, irregular work hours, dry air, jet fuel and exhaust fumes, and noise levels from engines and ground equipment.
