Caterpillar Aviation Services is seeking a Chief Pilot for its operations in Fort Worth, Texas. This leadership role is responsible for the operational oversight of Caterpillar's corporate flight operations, serving as a qualified pilot, and upholding the highest standards of flight safety, operational readiness, and regulatory compliance.

The Chief Pilot will lead a team of professional pilots and cabin safety professionals, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable flight operations for executive travel. This position requires strong judgment, technical aviation expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead within a dynamic corporate aviation environment, supporting Caterpillar's executive leadership team and business objectives.
Requirements

FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.

First-Class Medical Certificate.

A minimum of 10 years of relevant aviation experience, including international flight operations.

Significant fixed-wing flight experience, with over 3000 flight hours.

Instrument flight experience, including operations in complex aviation environments.

Experience operating within a FAR Part 91 corporate aviation environment is strongly preferred.

Experience in one or more of the following: Corporate Aviation Operations, FAR Part 135 Operations, FAR Part 121 Aviation Operations, or Military Aviation Operations.

Demonstrated leadership experience supervising or leading pilots, cabin safety professionals, aviation teams, or flight operations.

Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, corporate aviation operations, and aviation safety standards.

Exceptional leadership, organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.

A clean safety and regulatory record with no accidents or violations.
Qualifications

Gulfstream GVII and/or GVIII Type Ratings are advantageous.

Experience operating Gulfstream G500 and G700 aircraft is beneficial.

Experience in comparable large-cabin corporate aircraft is desirable.

Previous experience as a Chief Pilot, Assistant Chief Pilot, Chief of Training, Lead Captain, or in Flight Operations leadership is a plus.

Military aviation leadership experience.

Experience supporting executive and corporate flight department operations.

Experience managing pilot scheduling, crew readiness, training programs, and operational standards.

A strong background in aviation safety programs and Safety Management Systems (SMS).

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
