Cargolux Pilot Opportunity: First Officer / Senior First Officer
Cargolux, a leading all-cargo airline, is actively seeking highly skilled and dedicated aviation professionals to join its esteemed flight crew as First Officers. Exceptional candidates demonstrating relevant widebody aircraft experience may also be considered for Senior First Officer positions. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a globally recognized cargo airline based in Luxembourg, upholding the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.
Minimum Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: A minimum of 1500 hours of multi-engine time, including 1500 hours on turbine aircraft.
- Specific Multi-Pilot Experience: A minimum of 1500 hours of multi-pilot, multi-engine time acquired on jet aircraft or turboprop aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 10 tons or a seating capacity greater than 19 seats.
- Licensing: Holds a valid EASA Frozen ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License), with current Instrument Rating (IR) and Multi-Engine (ME) endorsements. Applicants must agree to transfer their license to a Luxembourg-issued EASA license.
- Medical Certificate: Possesses a valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- English Language Proficiency: Demonstrated ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 4 as a minimum. ICAO ELP Level 6 is highly desirable.
- Type Rating: A specific type rating is not required, as comprehensive training will be provided by Cargolux.
Candidate Profile and Additional Qualifications:
- Safety Acumen: Exhibits impeccable safety standards and a steadfast commitment to robust operational procedures.
- Intercultural Competence: Possesses the ability to thrive and collaborate effectively within a diverse, multicultural operational environment.
- Educational Background: A minimum of full second-level graduation is required (e.g., Baccalauréat, Abitur, A-Level Exam, Matura or equivalent).
- Pre-employment Checks: Must successfully pass a rigorous security background check and a comprehensive pre-employment medical examination.
- International Travel: Holds unrestricted rights for international travel.
- Senior First Officer Pathway: Candidates with 1500 hours of experience on widebody aircraft will be strongly considered for a Senior First Officer role.
