Cargolux Pilot Recruitment: First Officer / Senior First Officer (EASA License Holders)
Cargolux is actively seeking highly professional and experienced candidates to join its global flight deck crew as First Officer or Senior First Officer. Required Flight Experience and Qualification Standards (Minimums)
Candidates must satisfy the stringent minimum flight experience requirements detailed below. Please note that necessary aircraft type rating training will be provided by Cargolux upon employment.
- Total Multi-Engine Time: Minimum 1,500 hours.
- Total Turbine Time: Minimum 1,500 hours.
- Specific Multi-Pilot Experience: A mandatory minimum of 1,500 hours of multi-pilot multi-engine time accrued exclusively on jet aircraft or turboprop aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 10 tons or a seating capacity greater than 19 seats.
- Senior First Officer Consideration: Applicants possessing 1,500 hours of documented flight time on widebody aircraft will be considered for the Senior First Officer position.
- Type Rating: Not required, as comprehensive training will be provided.
Licensing, Medical, and Administrative Requirements
All applicants must meet the following official certification and administrative prerequisites:
- License Requirement: Must hold a current EASA issued license (Frozen ATPL, Instrument Rating (IR), and Multi-Engine (ME) endorsements are required).
- License Transfer: Agreement to successfully transfer the existing license to a Luxembourg-issued EASA license is mandatory.
- Medical Certification: Valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- English Language Proficiency (ELP): Minimum ICAO ELP Level 4 is required.
- Educational Standard: Full second-level graduation minimum (e.g., Baccalauréat, Abitur, A-Level Exam, Matura).
- Security and Health: Ability to pass successfully a comprehensive security background check and a pre-employment medical test.
- Travel Rights: Must possess unrestricted rights for international travel.
- Visa Sponsorship: Cargolux does not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
