Key Responsibilities
As a pilot with Luxair, the First Officer will assume responsibility for the operation of both scheduled and charter flights across the airline's extensive network. A paramount focus will be placed on implementing all necessary measures to guarantee a safe and reliable flight operation. In close collaboration with fellow crew members, the incumbent will be entrusted with the utmost safety and well-being of all passengers. Furthermore, the role necessitates the cultivation of positive and effective relationships with key stakeholders involved in flight operations, including Air Traffic Control and Ground Operations, to ensure seamless operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Candidates for this position must meet the following essential criteria:
- Possession of a valid Part-FCL (European) ATPL license, or a CPL/IFR with a frozen ATPL.
- A current Type Rating for the Boeing 737, or a minimum of 2,000 flight hours accumulated with an airline operating under EASA OPS regulations.
- A valid Class 1 medical certificate.
- A secondary school leaving qualification that grants university access in the country of issuance, or a recognized university diploma.
- Exceptional command of the English language, evidenced by an English Language Proficiency (ELP) level of 4 or higher.
- Minimum height requirement of 156 cm.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The preferred candidate will also demonstrate proficiency in one or more of the official languages of Luxembourg: Luxembourgish, French, and/or German, enhancing communication and operational synergy.
