Lufthansa Aviation Training Austria GmbH is seeking experienced Type Rating Instructors and Examiners (m/w/d) to join their team in Vienna. This role involves delivering comprehensive pilot training on various aircraft types, supporting both full-time and part-time employment arrangements.

About the Role

Lufthansa Aviation Training (LAT) is a leading European Approved Training Organisation (ATO) specializing in pilot training using full-flight simulators. The organisation provides annual training for over 20,000 pilots globally. LAT Austria GmbH, based at Vienna Airport, offers cockpit training for airline personnel and is expanding its instructor team.

The Type Rating Instructor/Examiner will be responsible for conducting theoretical and practical training sessions according to established standards. Key duties include preparing and delivering training to meet client requirements, and contributing to the development and enhancement of training materials.

Requirements

• EASA ATPL
• Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate
• Valid Multi-Pilot Aircraft (MPA) type rating with a valid TRI rating on at least one of the specified aircraft types, or valid examiner accreditation.
• For A330/A350 positions: Valid MPA type rating with a valid TRI rating on at least one additional Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, or Embraer aircraft type, and valid examiner accreditation.
• Minimum ICAO English Level 4 proficiency.
• German language proficiency: Native speaker, C1 level (advanced professional knowledge), or ICAO Level 5 "Extended".
• Minimum of 500 hours of instructional experience in FSTD or aircraft as an SFI/TRI.
• Demonstrated experience in airline training.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Excellent social and didactic skills, teamwork ability, and customer focus.
• Willingness to travel.
• Willingness to qualify on an additional aircraft type.
