About the Opportunity

The First Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Calm Air's fleet of ATR 42 and ATR 72 aircraft. Reporting to the Chief Pilot, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Captain and ground crew, adhering to the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute flights in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, Canadian Aviation Regulations, Aircraft Flight Manual, and the Company Operations Manual.
• Conduct thorough pre-flight calculations.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with flight crew and ground staff.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Commercial Pilot License with Multi-IFR rating.
• Valid Category One medical certificate.
• Completion of ATPL exams or successful completion of IATRA written examination.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate challenging situations.
• Willingness to travel and possession of a valid Canadian passport.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a restricted area pass through Winnipeg Airport Authority.
• Ability to meet all Transport Canada Security Clearance Regulations.
• Fluency in Inuktitut is considered an asset.
• Preference will be given to Inuit Land Claims Beneficiaries.
