CACI is seeking a highly skilled and motivated UAS Pilot to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) - both fixed-wing and rotary platforms - to gather critical intelligence for mission planning. This role involves a variety of tasks, including:
- Flight Operations: Launching, remotely piloting, and recovering UAS systems, both on the ground and in the air.
- Pre-Flight & Post-Flight: Conducting thorough pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks.
- Maintenance & Fabrication: Acquiring, fabricating, modifying, programming, and maintaining multi-rotor and fixed-wing COTS UAS platforms, including Group 3 and Turbine models.
- Intelligence Gathering: Collecting and disseminating threat information, collaborating with national and international intelligence agencies, and conducting vulnerability site assessments.
- Training & Test Support: Planning, coordinating, and acting as a safety officer for flight operations during training and test events.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive technical red-team analysis.
- Work effectively within a small team environment.
- Collaborate with national and international intelligence agencies to develop data sharing capabilities, trend analysis, and procedures.
- Assist with vulnerability site assessments to inform analyst teams about potential UAS applications.
- Disseminate relevant threat information to appropriate parties, both domestically and internationally.
- Plan and coordinate training and test events, ensuring the safe execution of flight operations.
Qualifications:
- Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) with 0-3 years of experience, Associate's degree (AA/AS) with 4 years of experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 6 years of experience.
- Must be able to obtain a Certified FAA UAS Pilot License.
- Must be able to successfully complete CRC training and deploy to the CENTCOM theater.
- Must be able to obtain an Amateur Radio Technician License.
- Experience instructing large groups of personnel at various ranks within a military environment.
- Experience with COTS multi-rotor and fixed-wing aircraft, including hobbyist UAS experience.
- Expertise with all types of Remotely Piloted Vehicles (RPV) - land, air, and sea - and the ability to design and fabricate with limited instructions or pre-built kits.
- Demonstrated experience in pre-deployment training and knowledge exchange supporting field training exercises (FTX), Validation Exercises (VALEX), and other technical exchange events.
- Ability to research emerging RPV technologies, explain their advantages, and assess their impact on DoD capabilities.
- Understanding of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP).
- Ability to effectively communicate technical RPV knowledge to others, explaining the technology, capabilities, limitations, and impact on DoD capabilities.
- Proficiency in using standard Microsoft Office applications and intelligence-related automation tools to support analytical efforts and product development.
- Experience in defining and executing scenarios (in test events or training events) where RPV technology can be effectively utilized.
- Ability to interpret and understand customer requirements to guide the appropriate use of RPV technology at technical exchange events or test events.
- Demonstrated capability to work independently while in remote locations and interact effectively with other organizations and military units.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to function effectively as part of a team.
