EASA B737 First Officer Position at Luxair
Luxair, a reputable European airline specializing in short- and medium-haul flights, is seeking experienced B737 First Officers to join its team in Luxembourg.
Position:
This exciting opportunity offers the chance to operate a B737 fleet, based in Luxembourg.
Requirements:
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Part-FCL (European) ATPL license (or CPL/IFR with frozen ATPL)
- Current Type Rating B737
- Valid class 1 medical certificate
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Very good command of the English language (ELP 4 or higher)
- European Union (EU)/European Free Trade Association (EFTA) nationality
Terms & Benefits:
Luxair provides an attractive remuneration package, encompassing:
Contract Length:
- Fixed-term contract: 20-24 months (reducible to 8 months upon request)
- Seasonal contract: 10 months followed by a 2-month break
Remuneration:
- Starting salary: €5,470.89 per month, with increments based on flight hours with scheduled airlines.
- Salary adjustments: Salaries are adjusted in line with the evolution of the cost of living (indexation).
Housing Allowance:
- 1st contract: €5,000
- 2nd contract: €2,500
Accommodation:
Luxair arranges and provides accommodation for a maximum of 2 weeks after the entry date if requested.
Supplements:
- Night duty: Tax-free supplement of 25% per hour worked between 22:00 and 06:00 local time.
- Sunday duty: Tax-free supplement of 70% per hour worked.
- Legal holiday duty: Tax-free supplement of 100% per hour worked.
- Monthly flight allowances: Additional payment based on schedule, averaging 6-7% of monthly salary (tax-free).
Allowances:
- Net allowance: €20 for duty up to 6 hours, €30 for duty exceeding 6 hours, and €60 for duty exceeding 12 hours, averaging €350 per month.
Working Times & Vacation:
- Stable roster: Published by the 18th of each month for the following months.
- Commuting roster options: To facilitate work-life balance.
- Days off: 10 days per month, including 4 consecutive days.
- Evening returns: The majority of evenings are spent at the home base, with exemptions for only a few destinations.
- Vacation: 31 pro-rated vacation days.

- Affiliation with the social security system according to European regulations, with deductions among the lowest in the EU (approximately 11%).
