EASA B737 Captain Position at Luxair
Luxair, an established European airline operating short- and medium-haul flights across the continent, is seeking experienced B737 Captains to join its team in Luxembourg.

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and command B737 aircraft in accordance with company policies and regulations.

Requirements:
- European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part-FCL Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL)
- Current B737 Type Rating
- Minimum 4,000 hours of flying experience with an airline operating under EASA OPS
- Minimum 500 hours on type and previous captain experience
- Valid Class 1 medical certificate
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent command of the English language (ELP 4 or higher)
- European Union (EU)/European Free Trade Association (EFTA) national
Terms:
- Contract Length:
- Fixed-term contract of 20-24 months (reducible to 8 months upon request)
- Seasonal contract of 10 months, followed by a 2-month break
- Remuneration:
- Starting salary from €11,052.19 per month (for pilots with at least 4,000 flying hours + 1,000 PIC hours).
- Salary scale time units are credited for every 1,000 flight hours with scheduled airlines, increasing the starting salary accordingly.
- For example, a pilot with 11,000 flight hours would receive a starting salary of €14,343.25.
- Luxembourg offers favorable tax rates, resulting in an approximate net salary of €7,470 for a married person and €6,500 for a single person, based on a gross salary of €11,052.19 (taxation may vary depending on individual household compensation).
- Salaries are adjusted in line with the cost of living (indexation) as per Labor Law.
- Housing Allowance:
- €9,000 for the first contract.
- €4,500 for the second contract.
- Accommodation:
- Arranged and provided by the airline, upon request, for a maximum of two weeks after the entry date.
- Supplements:
- Tax-free hourly supplement of 25% for night duty hours worked (local time between 22:00-06:00).
- Tax-free hourly supplement of 70% for crew duty hours worked on Sundays.
- Tax-free hourly supplement of 100% for crew duty hours worked on legal holidays.
- Monthly flight allowances paid according to schedule, representing an average of 6-7% on top of the monthly salary (tax-free).
- Allowances:
- €20 net for duty hours up to 6 hours.
- €30 net for duty hours over 6 hours.
- €60 net for duty hours over 12 hours.
- Average monthly allowance of €350 net.
- Working Times/Vacation:
- Stable roster published on the 18th of each month for the following month.
- Possibility to receive a commuting roster for better work-life balance.
- 10 days off per month, including 4 consecutive days.
- Return to home base for the majority of evenings (except for a few destinations).
- Pro-rated 31 vacation days.
