The Role: ATR 42/72 Captain
The carrier is actively recruiting highly qualified ATR 42/72 Type-Rated Captains for immediate placement. Successful candidates will be offered a choice of contract structures, including a comprehensive three-year fixed-term or part-time contract, or a full-time permanent position.
Contract Options and Bases:
- Captain, Type Rated ATR 42/72.
- Non-Type Rated Captains may be considered, subject to a three-year training bond commitment.
- Contract Term: 3-year fixed-term, part-time, or permanent full-time.
- Operation: Regional services.
- Working Bases: Dublin (DUB) and Belfast (BFS).
Minimum Requirements for ATR 42/72 Captains
Candidates must meet the following stringent experience and licensing criteria to be eligible for assessment:
- Total Flight Time: A minimum of 3,000 total hours.
- PIC Time on Type: A minimum of 500 Pilot in Command (PIC) hours on the ATR 42/72 600 series is preferred, though hours accrued on the broader ATR 42/72 family are fully accepted.
- License: Must hold a valid EASA or UKCAA ATPL/CPL license.
- Type Rating: Must hold a valid Type Rating (LPC) on the ATR 42/72.
- Recency: Must be current on type, having completed the last flight on type within the preceding twelve months. A valid Licence Proficiency Check (LPC) is accepted as proof of last flight.
Note: The airline offers a Delta course based on the candidate's existing ATR 42/72 experience, providing valuable type adaptation training where necessary.
Compensation and Benefits
Fixed-Term / Part-Time Contract (3 Years FT)
The fixed-term contract offers a competitive daily rate structure and excellent flexibility for commuting contractors:
- Remuneration: Salary structure based on experience, inclusive of competitive per diems and additional benefits.
- Roster Patterns (Negotiable): Flexible roster options available for commuting crew, including 6 days on / 8 days off; 20 days on / 10 days off; or 12 days on / 18 days off.
- Travel Benefits: Unlimited standby travel available from the start date on partner carriers, including Emerald Airlines, Aer Lingus, TAP Portugal, British Airways (BA), and Virgin Atlantic.
Permanent Full-Time Positions
Permanent crew benefit from a secure contract and comprehensive employment package:
- Salary: Basic salary determined by experience, supplemented by flight allowances.
- Roster: Fixed 5/3/5/2 roster pattern, facilitating superior advance planning and work-life balance.
- Annual Leave: 29 days of annual leave per year.
- Pension Scheme: Enrollment in the company pension scheme with a 4% employer contribution.
- Insurance: Life insurance coverage equivalent to two times the annual salary.
- Staff Travel: Comprehensive staff travel benefits commencing from the date of hire, including unlimited standby travel on Emerald Airlines. Post-probationary access to standby travel with Aer Lingus, TAP Portugal, British Airways, and Virgin Atlantic.
