A330 First Officer - SriLankan Airlines

SriLankan Airlines, a well-established Flag Carrier based in Asia, is seeking qualified A330 Rated First Officers to join its team on a direct hire basis. Operating an extensive network across Asia, Oceania, the Middle East, and Europe, SriLankan Airlines offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing national carrier. Responsibilities and Role:

The A330 First Officer will operate flights across the airline's diverse network, adhering to all safety regulations and standard operating procedures. The role involves working closely with the Captain and cabin crew to ensure safe and efficient flight operations and providing excellent service to passengers.

Requirements:

Prospective candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Possess a current ICAO/EASA/FAA ATP Licence.
  • Hold a current A330 type-rating endorsed on the licence.
  • Have accumulated a total of 1,500 flying hours.
  • Have a minimum of 500 SIC (Second in Command) hours on the A330 aircraft type.
  • Demonstrate English Language Proficiency (ELP) at Level 4 or above.
  • Hold a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate issued under a single authority.
  • Maintain a clear record with no history of accidents or incidents.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Contract Length: The position is offered on a 2-year contract, renewable upon mutual agreement.
  • Remuneration:
    • Basic Salary: Starting from $4,710 per month.
    • Type Allowance: $400 per month for single A330 fleet operations, or $600 per month for mixed A320/A330 fleet operations.
    • Accommodation Allowance: $1,500 per month.
    • Settlement Allowance: A one-off payment of $2,355 is provided at the commencement of employment.
    • Additional Payments: Perdiem and Overtime are also offered.
  • Operational Tempo: Average Block Hours range from 50 to 65 hours per roster period.
  • Commuting Roster Option: A 6 weeks ON / 2 weeks OFF roster is available, though it does not include annual leave entitlement (14 days of medical leave still apply). Basic salary and Type allowance for this option are prorated.

Benefits:

The comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Relocation and Repatriation: Provision of flight tickets for the employee and eligible family members.
  • Children Support Allowance: $300 per child per month, applicable for up to 3 children.
  • Staff Travel: Access to ID tickets for travel within the airline's network.
  • Annual Leave: 28 days per year.
  • Sick Leave: 14 days per year.
  • Support with Visa, Work Permit, and Licence validation processes.
  • Participation in the airline's medical scheme.
  • Coverage under Accident and Loss of Licence Insurance.

Airline Training:

  • Duration: Initial airline training lasts approximately 3-6 weeks, depending on flying frequency.
  • Allowance: An allowance of $2,500 is provided during the training period.
